S went on his way this morning - the busses were to leave at 6 am for the first part of the drive. I suspect they didn't actually leave on time and that no one expected they would. The first part of the drive takes 3.75 hours (we've timed it, more than once). The schedule allocated 4.5 hours to do this part. I also suspect that allowing this much time was not a mistake - the school has sponsored this trip for about 12 years in a row. They know what they're doing.
I came home and went back to bed, got a nap, and then did a bunch of errands.
